Plainview

Plainview is a hamlet midway between the North and South Shores of Long Island in Nassau County on the border of Suffolk County. A mostly suburban area, Plainview also has numerous shopping centers and strip malls and three office parks. Plainview and Old Bethpage share a school system, library, fire department and water district.

Plainview has community parks throughout the hamlet. Its main park is the Plainview-Old Bethpage Community Park, with an Olympic size pool, a children’s pool, baseball/softball fields, tennis courts, racquetball/handball courts, basketball courts, a playground, and walking/hiking trails.

Plainview real estate includes condos, town homes and single family homes for sale, many under $1MM.

Commute to Penn Station via LIRR

Plainview does not have its own LIRR train station, but it is next door to Hicksville (typically 41-47 minute train ride) and Bethpage (typically a 45-50 minute train ride).

Fun Facts

Those of you who know Rebecca know her love of Fairway (before it was bought, sold and went bankrupt). The home her boyfriend in law school, from Plainview, grew up in abutted the Plainview Fairway parking lot.
